Meth arrests lead all other drug arrests combined
LAYTON, Utah (AP) - The Davis Metro Narcotic Strike Force made 65 methamphetamine felony arrests last year, more than all other drug arrests combined.
In addition to the meth arrests, there were 15 for heroin, eight for cocaine, seven for marijuana, five for Ecstasy, four for prescription drugs and one for hallucinogens.
Strike force Lt. Allen Swanson says many people have more than one type of drug when arrested, but the arrests are categorized under the drug that carries the most serious criminal charge.
